Leading housing provider Stonewater has appointed digital transformation consultant Jane Scott to its board.
The technology and innovation expert replaces departing board member Claire Kearney, with the appointment taking effect from 1st October.
The former Group CIO of Ferrero brings valuable digital transformation experience from an expansive career primarily focused in fast-moving consumer goods
Jane has led large-scale transformational projects enabling enhanced customer service. She also brings cyber security and data strategy experience, an area of increasing importance in the housing sector as landlords look to use data to improve and streamline the management of homes.
Jane said: “Over the last 15 years or so, we have seen massive shifts in the way technology and digital services are used to improve customers’ experiences.
“Having spent my career primarily in information technology and digital transformation, I am looking forward to working with Stonewater; an organisation I know put customer experience and satisfaction at the heart of its work, and to play a role in continuing to improve the lives of customers.”
Non-executive roles at Kingston University and DMW Group, as well as running her own consultancy business, have added to Jane’s wide-ranging experience.
With a wealth of knowledge in the areas of mergers and acquisition and innovation, Jane’s appointment to the Board comes at a pivotal moment for Stonewater.
The provider, that owns and manages more than 39,000 homes across England, recently welcomed Mount Green Housing Association to the Group as well as continuing to embrace the use of innovative new technologies in their new homes as part of the Greenoak Centre of Excellence.
She added: “I am really looking forward to working with the other board members and colleagues at what is clearly a progressive and innovative social housing provider. This is a new sector for me, but one I am excited to get to know, and one where I can see my experience and values align well.”
Nicholas Harris, Chief Executive at Stonewater, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Jane to the board, where we will benefit from her years of experience, helping us to
continue to use innovation and technology to improve the lives of our customers and the homes and communities they live in.
“Her appointment comes at an exciting time for Stonewater as we navigate new innovations, a new government and our recent broadening of the Group – her expertise will be of terrific value.”
