When concealing exterior or interior pipework associated with low carbon district heating schemes or air-source and ground-source heat pumps, Pendock’s metal pipe boxing range provides effective protection against damage or tampering while helping improve aesthetics.
Available for specification on NBS Source, Pendock metal pipe boxing is offered as a three-sided CHM channel profile, for securing to a single flat surface, or an MXM option, which is a two-sided 90-degree design for fixing to adjacent surfaces, such as walls and ceilings.
Bespoke manufactured from 2mm aluminium to the individual project specifications, both CHM and MXM are available with two fixing options for increased versatility, with the choice of an integrated external flange on each side or the use of separate, concealed fixing angles.
As metal pipe boxing is non-combustible, it is also used in high rise residential blocks to conceal interior sprinkler pipework where no sprinkler heads are present, such as communal areas or lift lobbies.
Usually specified and supplied with a PPC finish, which can be selected from any RAL colour to blend in or contrast with the surroundings, metal pipe boxing is available in lengths of up to 4.0 metres, as standard, with other lengths and material thicknesses available on request.
A series of dedicated accessories is available for the CHM and MXM profiles, including internal and external corners, stop ends and joint covers, as well as fixing angles, access panels and TEK fixings, which can be colour coded if required.
Metal pipe boxing is part the extensive Profiles range of pipe boxing and casings, which includes pre-formed plywood pipe and fire sprinkler boxing, as well as boiler pipe casings. Comprehensive technical information is available online covering all products, which includes PDF and DWG drawings as well as NBS specification clauses.
