Two Rivers Housing invested £38.9m* in existing and new homes across Gloucestershire and Herefordshire in the year ending 31 March 2026.

The Gloucestershire-based housing association invested £14.6m in maintaining and improving tenants’ homes, including energy improvement work, new kitchens and bathrooms and replacement doors and windows. It also spent a further £24.3 million on new affordable homes across Gloucestershire and Herefordshire to help meet local housing needs.

In its latest Annual Report and Accounts, the community-based housing association posted a turnover of £33.7m (£33.3m in 2024/2025) and its Group surplus increased to £4.1m (£2.8m in 2024/2025). This will be reinvested in its tenants’ homes and the services it provides.

Earlier this year, Two Rivers Housing was awarded the top regulatory grades by the Regulator of Social Housing. It received a G1 for governance, V1 for financial viability and C1 for how well it delivers for its customers – making it one of the top performing landlords in the country.

Its 2025/2026 Tenant Satisfaction Measures showed an increase in overall satisfaction to 82.7% (79.5% in 2024/2025) with 87.8% of tenants also saying that they felt they were treated fairly and with respect. The housing association also saw improvements in satisfaction with its repairs service, how well it maintains homes, and how well it keeps tenants informed.

Alongside delivering 81 new affordable homes in its communities, Two Rivers Housing also helped almost 500 tenants claim more than £2m in additional financial support. This has provided a vital lifeline for families struggling with the continued rise in the cost of living.

Commenting on the results, Chief Executive of Two Rivers Housing, Kevin Bennett, said:

“Our annual results demonstrate our commitment to investing in our homes, meeting local housing need and supporting the tenants and communities we serve.

“None of this would be possible without the dedication of the team, who make a real difference to people’s lives every day. Their hard work and determination to do the right thing for our tenants was recognised by the Regulator earlier this year and I am incredibly proud of everything they have achieved over the last year.

“We know there is still work to do, and we’ll continue to listen to and work with tenants to improve our services. There are thousands of families waiting for a place to call home in our communities and we will continue to work with our partners to make sure that everyone has a warm, safe, affordable home.”
