A Platform Housing Group colleague responsible for helping secure more than 1000 future affordable homes across the Midlands has been shortlisted for a prestigious National Property Award.
Matthew Carroll, Senior Land and Partnerships Manager, has been named as a finalist in the Young Property Professional of the Year category at the National Property Awards 2026, recognising his outstanding contribution to affordable housing delivery and the wider property sector.
Since joining Platform less than three years ago, Matthew has successfully secured a number of land acquisitions that will deliver a significant amount of affordable homes across the Midlands.
As well as identifying and securing new development opportunities, Matthew has supported with the introduction of a more collaborative approach to land acquisition by bringing together technical, commercial and construction expertise much earlier in the development process. An approach which has strengthened risk management, improved financial resilience and increased confidence in the delivery of high quality affordable homes.
His achievements have already been recognised internally after receiving Platform Housing Group’s Deal of the Year award for the acquisition of the 280 affordable housing site at Kingshill Lane in Cirencester, Platform’s most significant acquisition in the South West.
