Pendock metal pipe boxing conceals interior and exterior pipework used in low-carbon district heating schemes and air-source or ground-source heat pump installations, improving appearance while helping to protect against damage or tampering.
The range includes the three-sided CHM channel profile for fixing to a single flat surface, and the two-sided 90-degree MXM profile for installation on adjacent surfaces such as walls and ceilings.
Made to project-specific requirements from 2mm aluminium, both CHM and MXM are available with two fixing options. EFF profiles feature an external flange on each side for straightforward fixing with suitable fasteners, while IFA versions use separate concealed fixing angles.
As it is non-combustible, metal pipe boxing is also used in high-rise residential buildings to conceal interior sprinkler pipework where in areas without sprinkler heads, including communal spaces and lift lobbies.
Pendock metal pipe boxing is typically supplied with a PPC finish and can be specified in any RAL colour to blend or contrast with its surroundings. Standard lengths are available up to 4.0 metres, with other lengths and material thicknesses available on request, along with perforations and hinged access hatches.
The CHM and MXM ranges also include dedicated accessories such as internal and external corners, stop ends, joint covers, fixing angles, access panels and fasteners, all of which can be colour matched if required.
Pendock metal pipe boxing is part of the wider Profiles range of pipe boxing and casings, which also includes pre-formed plywood casings for pipework and fire sprinklers, as well as boiler pipe casings.
Full technical information for the complete range is available online, including PDF and DWG drawings and NBS specification clauses.
